Inkberrow Design Centre (IDC) Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
IDC is fully approved by City and Guilds of London, England to offer Level 2 and 3 Design and Craft schemes and Level 2 Creative Techniques Certificate and Award schemes.
All candidates will be registered with the awarding body City and Guilds of London, England.
Candidates’ course enrolment with IDC will last for a period of two years from the point of receipt of the enrolment form. During that time, course fees will be fixed. It is anticipated that a candidate should complete within 9 – 18 months. All courses can be easily completed within the enrolment period, however should candidate circumstances require them to take longer; it may be possible to extend the enrolment period. Any extension is at the discretion of IDC and subject to course fee top-ups at the current rate. IDC reserves the right to transfer students requiring an extension to another tutor within the centre. Extensions to the period of registration may not always be possible and candidates are advised to ensure that wherever possible they structure their approach to the course in order to complete within the standard period.
All of the information and advice held on this website is given in good faith and believed to be true. Health and safety guidelines have been included as seems appropriate but individuals must accept responsibility for their own actions and work in a safe way. Manufacturers’ specific product information and guidelines for safe practice in their use should be heeded and given precedence over any generic information. No responsibility can be accepted for any accident or injury sustained during the courses offered by IDC.
All course content is the intellectual property of IDC and is not to be shared or distributed in any form. One copy may be printed by the registered student for their personal use during the course.
Assessment is held throughout the course and guidance given as needed to satisfy the syllabus requirements. In line with City and Guilds’ requirements for each course unit is marked. Students must attain a minimum of a ‘pass’ grade at each requirement in order to be certificated. There is an appeals procedure with City and Guilds in the event of any candidate disputing an assessment result.
The course tutor will normally respond to students’ enquiries and assessment images within 5 working days but it should be noted that on occasion there may be a delay of more than 3 weeks to allow for holidays and other teaching commitments.
IDC reserve the right to involve extra tutors and assessors as necessary to meet the demand for courses and to provide cover for periods of absence.
The City and Guilds Certificate is only awarded on satisfactory completion of the entire course and is subject to External Verification in order to maintain the standards required by the awarding body, City and Guilds of London, England.
Students will pay course fees, with payment to include registration and certification with the awarding body, City and Guilds of London, England. If at any time a student decides not to complete the course there is no Refund of the registration and certification fees.
Subsequent module payments will need to be received by IDC before the module is made available.(applicable to On-Line learners only)
Access to the course content is available only to officially enrolled and registered students of IDC.
Students must not distribute course materials in any way, including, but not limited to, the posting of course materials and/or tutor feedback to websites or blog sites or using them wholly or in part when teaching.
We have invested considerable time in developing, writing and illustrating the course for the benefit of enrolled students only. (applicable to On-Line Learners Only )
Prices are liable to change at the discretion of IDC but will be held for individuals for the period of enrolment as agreed at the time of enrolment. Once enrolment has taken place no fees are refundable or transferable.
All communication by email will be conducted in a courteous and polite manner.
IDC reserve the right to amend the information and requirements of the course as necessary in order to keep it current, valid and creative.
IDC reserve the right to reproduce images of students’ work for use on the website (www.inkberrowdesigncentre.co.uk) and other promotional material. Students who do not wish to have their work reproduced for these purposes should notify IDC at the time of enrolment. Students who prefer to withhold their full name on the website should also indicate this at the time of enrolment.
IDC retains the right to refuse service to any individual at any time.
IDC cannot be held responsible for the content of websites listed as links from this site.
It is the responsibility of the individual to protect their own computer system with adequate antivirus software.
Students will be required to acknowledge acceptance of ‘Terms and Conditions’ upon enrolment. Returning the enrolment form will be taken as evidence that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions.
