Sew Essentials: Zips a Dee Doodah

Part of a series of sewing workshops running throughout the year, aiming to cover the essential sewing techniques. A great way to kick start your sewing journey or refresh those old skills.
In these session we will be covering four different zip finishes

Centred and invisible zips– Starting with the centred zip. An easy technique which is perfect for the beginner sewer. However we aim to take you to the next level by also mastering the invisible zip. A great start for budding dressmakers.
Hand finished zip – Take you projects to the next level with a couture hand finished zip! It may look tricky at first but we will take you through each step to create the tailored finish you are looking for.
Fly front / Trouser Zip – A zip that is often not attempted due to it’s layered construction. It’s a great zip to add to skirts or trousers and our workshop aims to demystify and perfect.
